Each weekday during the start of spring practice, we’ll release a new player from our upcoming Class of 2017 Big Board and break down his game with an interactive graphic. Today, it’s No. 8, James Blackman, a quarterback at Glades Central.
A pro-style quarterback who can move well in the pocket, the 6-foot-5, 172-pound Blackman has drawn plenty of attention from college coaches. Rated three stars by 247Sports, he has drawn offers from Miami, Louisville and Akron, among others. Blackman threw for over 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, and could surpass those numbers in 2016.
