A trio of Palm Beach County flag football teams earned state rankings as the 2018 season gets underway.

Seminole Ridge (No. 5), Park Vista (No. 12) and Dwyer (No. 21) were listed among the state’s top teams in the Florida High School Football’s 2018 All-Classification Top 25 Rankings.
Glades Central earned a spot on the ‘Next 5’ in the rankings, which were released Sunday.
The Hawks finished 16-1 last year, losing only to Tampa-Plant in the Class 2A state championship game last May. Plant is ranked No. 2, behind Tampa-Robinson.
The Cobras (12-2) advanced to the Class 2A regional semifinals last season. Dwyer finished 9-4 in Class 2A, while the Raiders went 9-5 in Class 1A.
The 2018 season begins today.
