Hosanna Kropp made history this weekend for Wellington High School.
The Wolverines’ junior became the county’s second athlete – and her school’s first – to win a Girls State Wrestling Championship.

Kropp went 5-0 in the 132-pound weight division to claim the title at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, pinning four opponents and winning her other match 6-1.
She was a state runner-up last year at the event.
Kropp is ranked No. 8 at 127 pounds in USA Wrestling’s National Girls High School Wrestling Rankings.
Ashley Sword of Lake Worth High School won a state wrestling championship in 2001.
