Week 3 for boys basketball is in the books.

Suncoast, shown in a game against Lincoln Park Academy last week, is one of five unbeaten teams in this week’s Top 10. The Chargers are ranked No. 4. (Damon Higgins/Palm Beach Post)

Five ranked teams remain unbeaten, while a sixth lurks just outside the top 10.

No. 1 Dwyer, No. 2 Lake Worth, No. 3 Wellington and No. 4 Suncoast held on to the top four spots in this week’s poll, while unbeaten Forest Hill entered at No. 10. Saint John Paul II Academy, at 6-0, also was considered and could crack the top 10 in upcoming weeks.

The rest of the top 10 includes Santaluces, Benjamin, Atlantic, Spanish River, Palm Beach Lakes and Forest Hill.

The upcoming holiday break will be busy with a handful of tournaments featuring area teams. We’ll preview those tournaments later this week and also next week.

As for this week, the schedule is a light one as students are taking exams. However, a pair of good matchups takes place tonight at the Kreul Classic in Broward County.

Oxbridge Academy takes on Washington, D.C.-Friendship at 3:40 p.m. in the Under Armour 7th-place game, while Atlantic faces Boca Raton at 8:40 p.m. in the Publix 5th-place game.

Both games will be played at Coral Springs High School.
