In back-to-back days, Palm Beach Central defensive back Akeem Dent picked up a win with the Broncos, followed by an offer from the University of Alabama.
The FSU commit and the nation’s top Class of 2019 cornerback recruit announced the offer via Twitter Saturday afternoon.

The offer was the 19th for Dent, who committed to Miami in July 2016, and then de-committed in March. He committed to Florida State in July.

A five-star recruit, Dent is rated the top Palm Beach County prospect of this century, according to 247Sports.
The website has player rankings dating back to 2000, and Dent is the highest-rated of any Palm Beach County player. Matt Elam was the top prospect previously, ranking 15th in the Class of 2010.
Dent was a second-team All-Area pick as a sophomore at Pahokee, where he helped take the Blue Devils to the Class 1A state title game. Pahokee won the game, but the title later had to be vacated due to an ineligible player.
During the offseason, Dent transferred to Palm Beach Central.
He has helped lead the Broncos to a 6-2 record and the District 9-8A championship. Palm Beach Central closes the regular season Friday at home against John I. Leonard.
