Oxbridge Academy pitcher/first baseman Caridad Estes picked up a big postseason honor earlier this month.

The rising sophomore was named to the 2017 MaxPreps Freshmen All-American Team for softball July 14.
Estes, who batted .521 with 10 homers and 45 RBIs and also went 9-1 with a 1.58 ERA last season, was named to the 33-man team as an outfielder.
She played a key role in leading the ThunderWolves to district and regional championships and a berth in the Class 4A state championship game.
After the season she earned Palm Beach Post All-Area first-team honors, and also was named to the Miracle Sports All-State first team for Class 4A.
