Jupiter diver Tyler Coffey closed his standout freshman season by earning national recognition.
Coffey, who placed second at the Class 4A FHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships in November, was named a National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American earlier this month.
He is one of 200 high school divers (100 boys, 100 girls) selected for the honor. NISCA All-Americans represent the top 1 percent of all high school divers competing in grades 9-12.
“I am extremely honored to be recognized as All-American as a freshman,” said Coffey, who was a Palm Beach Post All-Area selection for the Warriors last year. “I have tried to work very hard this school year when it comes to academics as well as athletics, and again I am super happy to be recognized.”
Coffey has competed locally with Jupiter Diving Club since 2009, and has been a USA Diving National qualifier each year since 2011.
