Palm Beach Lakes guard Lavorris Givins, Royal Palm Beach guard/forward Jules Jasmin, and Dwyer guard Tommie Luke were named to the FABC/Source Hoops Class 8A Boys Basketball All-State Team.
Players were selected based on in-person evaluations, a review of all-area teams selected by media from around the state, and recognition from the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches.
Givins, who helped lead the Rams to the Class 8A state semifinals, was a first-team selection; Jasmin, the Wildcats’ all-time leading scorer, was a second-team choice; and Luke, who helped carry Dwyer to the Class 8A regional quarterfinals, was a third-team pick.
All three were named to the Post’s 2017 All-Area Big Schools Boys Basketball first team.
There were no Palm Beach County players named to the Class 7A All-State team.
