Twelve area teams advanced to the first round of regional soccer competition last week after the completion of district tournament play.

Six claimed district championships, while six others finished as runners-up. All will play regional quarterfinal matches Thursday with the exception of Yeshiva Weinbaum, which forfeited its planned game against Lake Worth Christian in Class 1A. Yeshiva did not have enough players to field a team.
The winners move on to the regional semifinals round on Tuesday.

Spanish River (15-8-2) at Wellington (20-1-1)
Palm Beach Central (13-2-2) at Boca Raton (21-0)
Class 4A
Olympic Heights (18-8-1) at Martin County (17-1-3)
South Fork (17-1-2) at West Boca Raton (15-4-1), 6:30 p.m.
Class 2A
Coconut Creek-North Broward Prep (12-6-1) at Oxbridge Academy (10-1-2)
American Heritage (12-3-2) at Fort Lauderdale-Cardinal Gibbons (14-3-4)
Class 1A
Jupiter Christian (11-4-1) at Saint John Paul II Academy (14-6-2)
Lake Worth Christian (16-4-1) advances automatically
