Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson won one major award Wednesday, and was named a finalist for another.

Jackson, a former Boynton Beach High School standout, was named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Player of the Year following a vote of 48 members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
He received 36 votes for both the overall and offensive Player of the Year awards after setting a school record with 4,928 total yards, while also accounting for a conference-record 51 touchdowns – 30 passing and 21 rushing.
He set an ACC record for quarterbacks with 1,538 yards rushing.
Jackson also was named a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, along with Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, Washington quarterback Jake Browning, Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers and Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen.
The winner will be announced Dec. 8.
