Football recruiting: Four Boca Raton players sign letters of intent

Four Boca Raton football players, plus a soccer standout who also played football, signed national letters of intent Monday at the school.

Five Boca Raton student-athletes signed letters of intent Monday. They are (front row, from left) Gabe Bravo, Everson Diejuste, Bryce Hill, Charles Barnes and McGinnis Albert. Bobcats’ boys soccer coach Marcelo Castillo and football coach Eric Davis are at back (L to R).

Lineman Everson Dieujuste (North Carolina Wesleyan); wide receiver/defensive back McGinnis Albert (Cincinnati Christian); wide receiver/defensive back Charles Barnes (Cincinnati Christian); and running back Bryce Hill (Westminster College) signed to play football during a lunchtime ceremony held at the school.

Placekicker Gabe Bravo signed to play soccer with Flagler College in St. Augustine.

The Bobcats’ football team finished 9-3 last season and advanced to the Class 8A regional semifinals.

Hill, who rushed for 1,481 yards and 10 touchdowns, was named to the Post’s All-Area Large Schools First Team Offense. Diejuste and Bravo were honorable mention selections.

Barnes was an All-Area Large Schools Defense second team selection.

Bravo also helped lead Boca Raton to the Class 5A boys soccer state championship this season. A midfielder, Bravo was named to the Post’s All-Area Large Schools First Team.
