Defending state champion Seminole Ridge is the state’s top-ranked Class 2A team in the inaugural Joe Pinkos Florida High School Girls Flag Football Power Ratings released Saturday.
Seminole Ridge is the state’s top-ranked 2A flag football team in the Joe Pinkos Power Ratings.
The Haws (4-0) have 90.1 points in the Class 2A Power 25, nearly six points ahead of second-place Orange Park-Fleming Island (84.5 points). Tampa-Plant is third, followed by Tampa-Alonso and Valrico-Bloomingdale.
Five other Palm Beach County teams earned Power 25 rankings in Class 2A, among them Jupiter (No. 14); Dwyer (No. 16); Lake Worth (No. 18); Park Vista (No. 24); and John I. Leonard (No. 25).
Glades Central is ranked No. 10 in the Class 1A Power 25. The Raiders (4-0) have 69.8 points. Tampa-Robinson is the top-ranked 1A team with 99.2 points. Fort Pierce Westwood is No. 2, followed by Tallahassee-Chiles, Tallahassee-Godby and Coconut Creek.
Oxbridge Academy is ranked No. 22.
Joe Pinkos’ Power Ratings are calculated using a formula based on strength of opposition and margin of victory.
