Lake Worth Christian and Oxbridge Academy won their regional championship games against Glades Day and Fort Myers-Bishop Verot, respectively, and advanced to next week’s state semifinals in Vero Beach.

Jupiter rallied to defeat Boca Raton 6-3 Tuesday night in a Class 9A regional semifinal, and will play Davie-Western tonight in a regional championship game.

The winner advances to the state semifinals next week.

We preview tonight’s game below. First pitch is 7 p.m.

Class 9A
Davie-Western (19-7) at Jupiter (25-3): The Warriors get a home game tonight after playing both of their regional games on the road, and having the crowd behind them could be a big boost against the Wildcats. Western, a district runner-up, is coming off an 8-1 upset of district champion Weston-Cypress Bay in the regional semifinals, and has played well down the stretch. Jupiter, also a district runner-up, rallied to double up Boca Raton 6-3 on Tuesday after trailing 3-0 early and then 3-2 entering the sixth. The Warriors are young, but have gotten clutch hitting during the postseason, as well as a solid effort on the mound from sophomore starter Marisa Mellone. A second straight berth in the state semifinals is on the line for Jupiter here.
Prediction: Jupiter 3-2
