Boca Raton has found its replacement for head football coach Eric Davis.
The school has hired former Cooper City head football coach Brandon Walker, athletic director Matt Ryder confirmed Monday.

Walker, a Plantation-American Heritage graduate, spent the past five seasons with the Cowboys, accumulating a 23-28 record during his tenure. Cooper City made the regional quarterfinals in 2016.
He also was a head coach at Pembroke Pines-Somerset Academy, and served as an assistant under his dad, Byron, at American Heritage.
Prior to his high school coaching career, Walker served as a college assistant at Fordham and Delaware.
“When he came in, we just felt like he brought a lot to the table with his experiences both at the college level and at the high school level,” Ryder said of Walker, who played college football at Elmhurst (Ill.) College.
“We felt as a committee that he’s going to be able to take the program to the next level. We’re really looking forward to working with him.”
Walker replaces Davis, who stepped down in December after four seasons.
Boca Raton was 5-4 last season and finished third in District 10-8A behind Atlantic and Park Vista. Both the Eagles and Cobras made the postseason under the Florida High School Athletic Association’s revamped playoff system.
Walker is expected to arrive at Boca Raton prior to the start of spring football practice, Ryder said.
