Palm Beach Lakes athlete Teja Young won’t travel far to begin his college football career.
The three-star recruit committed to FAU and head coach Lane Kiffin Friday night, he announced through Twitter.
Young, ranked No. 22 on the Post’s Class of 2018 Big Board, is a previous Colorado State commit.

He pledged to the Rams last July, saying through social media that it wasn’t an easy decision at the time.
He decommitted earlier this month.
Young’s offers included Illinois, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, among others.
He joins an Owls team that finished 11-3 last season and won the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Bowl. FAU defeated Akron 50-3 Dec. 19.
“I chose FAU because I want to come in and compete,” he said. “I believe in the program in Boca, and knowing most of the players made me feel comfortable immediately.”
Young, 5-foot-11 and 178 pounds, played at Royal Palm Beach as a junior before transferring to Palm Beach Lakes for his senior season.
He was an All-Area honorable mention selection this year after finishing with five passing touchdowns, 10 rushing touchdowns, six pass breakups and 15 solo tackles.
