The New Year will get underway with plenty of boys basketball competition.

Palm Beach Central, Suncoast and Forest Hill will host tournaments this week, and there are plenty of area teams scheduled to participate.
Palm Beach Central is set to host its annual holiday tournament Tuesday through Thursday. The eight-team field includes the host Broncos and Atlantic, plus six out-of-county teams.
Those teams are Miami-Braddock, Fort Pierce Central, Miami-Florida Christian, Miami-Columbus, Miami-Killian and Okeechobee.
Here’s the schedule:
Tuesday
Atlantic vs. Columbus, 3 p.m.; Florida Christian vs. Okeechobee, 4:30 p.m.; Killian vs. Fort Pierce Central, 6 p.m.; Braddock vs. Palm Beach Central, 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday
Columbus/Atlantic loser vs. Florida Christian/Okeechobee loser, 3 p.m.; Killian/Fort Pierce Central loser vs. Braddock/Palm Beach Central loser, 4:30 p.m.; Columbus/Atlantic winner vs. Florida Christian/Okeechobee winner, 6 p.m.; Killian/Fort Pierce Central winner vs. Braddock/Palm Beach Central winner, 7:30 p.m.
Thursday
7th-place game, noon; 5th-place game, 2 p.m.; 3rd-place game, 4 p.m.; Championship game, 6 p.m.

Suncoast will host the 9th annual Charger Classic Friday and Saturday at the school.
