The Florida High School Athletic Association released its accumulated playoff point totals for football on Tuesday.
Teams earn points based on a variety of factors, including number of wins and strength of schedule.

Under the FHSAA’s new playoff points system, Dwyer has earned 37.40 points, more than anyone in District 13-7A except unbeaten Forest Hill, which has 39. The Panthers (3-2) have one district loss. (Bruce Bennett/Palm Beach Post)
Most teams have played at least four games this season, with some completing five or six. Hurricane Irma impacted much of the state last month, leading to the cancellation or postponement of at least two weeks of games.
The FHSAA announced Sept. 13 it would maintain the originally scheduled season dates, and also stick with its original formula for determining points.
However, it will waive the eight-game minimum requirement to qualify for the playoffs on a case-by-case basis.
The FHSAA’s new playoff format eliminates districts for small schools, and does away with some automatic postseason bids for schools in all classifications.
Points will be released on a weekly basis until the end of the season.
