Just one day after earning an invitation to the 2019 Under Armour All-American Game, Palm Beach Central defensive back Akeem Dent picked up another national honor.

The FSU commit was named to the MaxPreps Preseason 2017 Junior All-American Football Team Wednesday.
Dent was a first-team selection on defense, joining two other players from Florida on the unit.
In all, eight players from Florida were named to the All-American Team.
Four represent Bradenton-IMG Academy, while the others are from Lakeland, Miami-Southridge and New Smyrna Beach.
Dent, who is rated a five-star prospect by the recruiting website 247Sports, is the No. 1 cornerback in the 2019 class and also the No. 5 overall player in the class.
He was a second-team All-Area pick as a sophomore at Pahokee last season, and helped take the Blue Devils to the Class 1A state title game. Pahokee won the game, but the title later had to be vacated due to an ineligible player.
Dent transferred to Palm Beach Central in January.
