Softball: Oxbridge closes at No. 1 in state poll; four other area teams ranked

Oxbridge Academy closed the regular season as the state’s top softball team in Class 4A.

The ThunderWolves (23-2) have been ranked No. 1 for the past three weeks. Oxbridge plays for the District 6-4A championship today.

Four other Palm Beach County teams earned rankings in the Miracle Sports state softball poll released Wednesday.

They are: Palm Beach Gardens (No. 5, Class 9A), Jupiter (No. 6, Class 9A), Wellington (No. 10, Class 8A) and Lake Worth Christian (No. 5, Class 2A).

Also, Royal Palm Beach (Class 8A) and American Heritage (Class 4A) were honorable mention selections.
