Cardinal Newman point guard KJ Fitzgerald picked up an offer from USF Saturday, according to a tweet from a PBCHoops social media account.
Fitzgerald, one of the area’s top Class of 2017 boys basketball recruits, retweeted the post later Saturday.

A four-year starter for the Crusaders, the 6-foot Fitzgerald remains uncommitted.
He has drawn offers from numerous Division I schools, among them Virginia Tech, UNC Greensboro, Chattanooga and TCU.
He was named to the Post’s All-Area Small Schools first team this season after averaging 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Fitzgerald also was a first-team selection in 2015 and in 2016, when he averaged 26 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Crusaders advanced to the state championship game in 2015, and made the regional semifinals in each of the past two seasons.
Fitzgerald broke the 1,000-point scoring mark last January as a junior.
