The Glades Central quarterback, who committed to FSU in August, told CBSSports.com in a story posted Sunday that Seminoles coaches and players “really made me feel like I am at home.”
He was hosted on his official visit by FSU quarterback Deondre Francois, who helped lead the Seminoles to an Orange Bowl win over Michigan last month.
“I had a great time hanging out with the players, the coaches,” Blackman said. “Having dinner. Just visiting the campus and seeing what everything looks like. I really loved it. I had a tons of fun and had a great time.”
On Monday, Blackman shut down his recruiting and announced his intention via Twitter to enroll at FSU.
Blackman, a three-star recruit who is the No. 5-ranked player on the Post’s Class of 2017 Big Board, is coming off a standout senior season for the Raiders.
The 6-foot-5, 163-pound pro-style quarterback threw for 2,158 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2016, and completed nearly 60 percent of his passes.
He was named to the Post’s Small Schools Offense First Team earlier this month.
National Signing Day is Feb. 1.
