The list of Palm Beach County football commitments continued to grow Monday.
Less than three weeks until National Signing Day, Pahokee wide receiver Tyron Arnett announced his pledge to Georgia State via Twitter.
The senior is ranked No. 25 on the Post’s Class of 2017 Big Board. He finished the 2016 season with 54 receptions for 1,050 yards and 13 touchdowns, and was named to the All-Area Small Schools Offense first team.
Arnett played a key role in leading the Blue Devils to the Class 1A state football championship last month, though the title could be vacated by the FHSAA because of an ineligible player.
The school is awaiting a formal ruling.
Arnett teamed with Adarius Dent to form one of the area’s most potent receiving duos this season. Dent, also a first-teamer, finished with 847 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
Arnett caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown in the state championship game Dec. 8. His 49-yard TD reception in the third quarter put the Blue Devils up 21-7.
