Wellington guard Trent Frazier had a big night on the basketball court Tuesday, and his performance drew national attention.
The four-star recruit, who signed a letter of intent with Illinois last week, scored 43 points and tipped in the game-winning basket as time expired in the Wolverines’ 64-62 victory against Atlantic in the John I. Leonard Preseason Tipoff tournament.
USA Today featured Frazier in a story posted Wednesday.

Frazier is ranked No. 101 nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings, and also is the state’s No. 15-ranked player according to HoopSeen.
He was the Post’s 2015-16 Large Schools Player of the Year, averaging 21 points, six assists and two steals for the district champion-Wolverines.
The 2016-17 season tips off Monday.
