Singletary, a former American Heritage standout, rushed for a career- and program single-game high of 252 yards in the Owls’ 42-25 victory. The freshman also scored three touchdowns and caught three passes for 11 yards.
His 283 all-purpose yards broke an FAU record set in 2001, which was the program’s inaugural season.
Singletary was named the Post’s Small Schools Offensive Player of the Year in 2015 after rushing for 1,766 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior.
He led the Stallions to their second straight Class 3A state championship game.
Singletary signed with FAU Feb. 3 after decommitting from Illinois.
FAU hosts UTEP at 6 p.m. Saturday at FAU Stadium.
