Oxbridge Academy’s upset win over Pembroke Pines-Flanagan Friday didn’t go unnoticed.

The ThunderWolves jumped 27 spots – from No. 101 to No. 74 – in this week’s CBS MaxPreps Top 150 Computer Football Ratings.
Oxbridge Academy scored a touchdown on its opening drive Friday, and held on to defeat the defending Class 8A state champion Falcons 7-6 on the road.
The ThunderWolves (1-0) face another tough opponent Thursday in Miami-Carol City. The Chiefs are the state’s No. 4-ranked team in Class 6A.
Oxbridge played Carol City last season in Week 2, with the Chiefs winning 27-14 in West Palm Beach.
The No. 1 team in this week’s poll is Bradenton-IMG Academy, followed by Las Vegas-Bishop Gorman, Santa Ana-Mater Dei (Calif.), Loganville-Grayson (Ga.) and Cincinnati-Colerain (Ohio).
Plantation-American Heritage is the highest-ranked Florida team at No. 6.
