Dwyer quarterback Toddy Centeio could miss his third straight game tonight, and it’s an important one.

The junior is doubtful for the Panthers’ key District 13-7A contest against host Royal Palm Beach, coach Jack Daniels said Thursday.
Centeio was hospitalized briefly last week to undergo tests for mononucleosis and other illnesses, Daniels said. He has returned to school and practice, but might not be ready to play tonight.
Dwyer (6-0) and Royal Palm Beach (3-3) are the only remaining unbeaten teams in district play. Both are 2-0.
Centeio, a three-star, pro-style quarterback, has not played since Sept. 25. He has missed the Panthers’ past two games – a home win against Olympic Heights Oct. 2 and a road win against Wellington last Friday.
Junior Eli Mathews has started in Centeio’s place. He threw three touchdown passes in the Panthers’ 42-35 victory at Wellington last week.
“Eli has worked his whole life for this opportunity, and he practices hard, he’s smart with a good arm and he showed he’s a really good player,” Daniels said following last week’s win.
Centeio said Thursday he hopes to return soon.
“I’m good,” he said.
