Quinn will be entering his third season with the Gators after coaching at Royal Palm Beach and Park Vista. The Gators were District 9-8A runners-up to Wellington last season.

Three seniors from last year’s team will play in college this fall or serve on a college coaching staff. They are: Corey Bryant and Lucas Iacobucci (SUNY Broome Community College in Binghamton, N.Y.); and Devin DeTomasso (student assistant at North Florida).

“I am extremely happy for Lucas, Corey and Devin to be able to continue with college basketball,” Quinn said. “No one expected the 2016 Palm Beach Gardens Gators to make the playoffs, but these seniors worked extremely hard and surprised a lot of people.”

Also playing in college are Park Vista’s Steven Glassco and Wellington graduate Stephon Gordon, who played for Quinn at Royal Palm Beach. Both attended West Hills (Calif.) Community College, and will play on scholarship at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

“In high school both were undersized post players, and each has now grown into formidable college wing players,” Quinn said of Glassco and Gordon. “That is a testament to how many hours each has spent working on their game.”

Yephnick Adelphonse, who played under Quinn at Park Vista and later at Trinidad State (Colo.) Junior College, will play at Shorter University in Rome, Ga.

“He has worked hard to develop into a basketball player that can impact a game due to his length, defense and shooting ability,” Quinn said of Adelphonse.

2015 Palm Beach Gardens graduate Kevin Grace attended DME Prep School in Daytona Beach last season, and will be playing at Indian River State College this fall.
