Dwyer defensive back Cedrick Dort gathered his teammates after practice Tuesday morning and told them where he planned to play college football.

It didn’t take them long to share the news.

Multiple teammates, including running back Jakairi Moses, shared the three-star cornerback’s commitment to Kentucky via Twitter.

The Wildcats were one of 10 schools Dort had been considering. Among those were Wisconsin, Iowa State, Purdue and Syracuse.

The 6-foot-1, 168-pound Dort is the No. 10-ranked player on the Post’s 2017 Big Board.

He was named to the 2015 All-Area Large Schools Defense team as an honorable mention selection after helping lead the Panthers to the District 13-7A championship and a berth in the regional semifinals.

Dwyer returns 16 starters this year, with Dort expected to play a key role in the secondary.
