The event, which runs from 6-9 p.m. at Jupiter High School, is open to all high school players.

Colleges that are scheduled to attend include Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Akron, Valdosta State and FIT. Others might be added, said Jupiter football coach Bill Powers.

Teams are expected to bring position coaches, recruiting coordinators and possibly their head coaches to the event, which is being run by former Miami Dolphins defensive back Arturo Freeman.

Freeman recently hosted a Jim Harbaugh satellite camp.

“The goal of the satellite camp is to give the student-athlete the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of numerous colleges,” Freeman said.

“And for colleges, it gives them a chance to coach a kid that may not have the opportunity to visit their school due to schedule or financial reasons during the college camp month.”

The camp is expected to draw players from throughout South Florida and elsewhere.

Powers, whose Warriors’ staff will assist with the camp, said he has received calls from schools in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, as well from the Treasure Coast.

Registration fee is $35. To register, visit footballcampregistration.com.
