Six American Heritage football players and one baseball player signed national letters of intent Friday to continue their athletic careers in college

Athlete D.J. Davis (Southern Illinois); linebacker Logan Wakefield (Marshall); running back Cornelius Smith (West Virginia Wesleyan); linebacker/nose guard Zach Shahin (Mississippi College); tight end/linebacker Patrick Boylston (Hanover College); and lineman Charlie Brockwell (University of St. Thomas) signed to play football during a ceremony held at the school.
Also, Justin Barney signed to play baseball at Florida Tech.
The Stallions’ football team advanced to the Class 3A state championship game last season, finishing 10-3.
Smith (No. 20) and Davis (No. 25) were Class of 2016 Big Board selections.
