American Heritage running back Devin Singletary and Seminole Ridge lineman Jake Jones will represent the South Team at the 61st Annual North-South All-Star Football Classic Dec. 19.

The event, which kicks off at 1 p.m. at The Villages Charter High School in The Villages, is expected to draw 69 of the state’s top high school football players.
The North-South All-Star Football Classic is one of the oldest high school All Star Games in the country, beginning in 1949.
The game had a five-year absence in the early 2000s because all resources were dedicated to Florida All-Stars playing against other states, according to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. It returned in 2005.
